Lastly, Sicriptin can be employed in the treatment of Parkinson's disease. In individuals with Parkinson's, the neurotransmitter dopamine is typically depleted or absent, which is believed to contribute to the symptoms of the disease. By stimulating dopamine receptors, Sicriptin serves a function similar to dopamine replacement in the brain, thereby alleviating some of Parkinson's symptoms.
